Atlanta Local Brings Cheer to 40 Years Gala

[Mobile, Alabama] Hackbarth Delivery Service celebrated their fortieth anniversary this year with a gala event, Cheers to 40 Years, held at the Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal. Veltena Jordan, Atlanta local and an independent contractor with Hackbarth’s Atlanta-metro terminal in Tucker, created a stunning song to tribute their forty years in business. She amazed over 300 people with her beautiful voice and creative style that highlighted four decades of service as well as honoring the drivers and their pledge to provide Knock Your Socks Off- KYSO^® customer service.

Honored guests, industry leaders, and associates from all over the country came to celebrate a true American success story. In November of 1975, Carol and Rob Hackbarth started the company in Mobile, Alabama with $500 start-up capital and a dream to be the very best delivery company in the world. The first month’s sales were $7.50 representing five deliveries. In 2015 Hackbarth delivered over 10 million packages and is on track to deliver over 14 million in 2016. Carol attributes their success to people like Veltena, “She embodies our commitment to excellence and the community and is self-starter. These ideals are the cornerstone of our company and we are both humbled and honored by Veltena’s original, talented music. Wow!”

Throughout their 40^th year in business, Hackbarth Delivery Service (HDS) will be commemorating the anniversary in exciting ways. A special event at the HDS metro Atlanta terminal, planned by CEO Kelly Picard, will honor all who have been a part of past and future achievements. Veltena Jordan may even perform an encore of her original song, Hackbarth’s Forty Years.
